Steven Garcia is a professional photographer, musician, and multimedia producer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. He graduated from St. Olaf College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance.

He has gained a diverse portfolio ranging from portrait, weddings and events, corporate/commercial, performing arts, automotive, sports, and editorial. His images have been published online and in various publications such as the Star Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, L’Equipe, Le Parisien, St. Olaf Magazine, the International Trumpet Guild Journal, Edina Lifestyle, and Minnesota Bride, among other publications. He has worked with clients including St. Olaf College, The University of Minnesota, Boston Consulting Group, Nilfisk, the International Trumpet Guild, Medtronic, Monette Trumpets, Polestar, Northern Tool, MNOpera, the Ordway Arts Partnership, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO), Source Song Festival, and the Porsche Club of America, among others.

Steven is also a photographer for ZUMA Press Wire and has photographed Minnesota news and sports as credentialed media including Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, PWHL Hockey, and NCAA D1 sports and championships. He has been recognized with multiple images in ZUMA’s “Pictures of the Day” and “Pictures of the Month” honors. He is also a member of Diversify Photo.

Along with his freelance work, Steven currently serves as a part-time Production Assistant and Team Photographer for the award-winning Vick Photography Studios in St. Louis Park, MN. He also volunteers his time at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in St. Louis Park, MN; assisting with documentation of the museum’s collections.

As a musician, Garcia performs around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and has been involved in various ensembles spanning orchestral, jazz, musical theatre, chamber music, and new music ensembles. He has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Rochester Symphony, DalekoArts, Artistry Theatre, VocalEssence, and the La Crosse Symphony, among others. He plays 2nd Trumpet in the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Manny Laureano and was recently featured as a soloist performing the “Concerto for 2 Trumpets” by Stephen Paulus with BSO Principal Trumpet Brad Shermock.

In his personal time, Steven loves to drive and find new roads, and new food trucks.
